About Faith

As a local church we believe and confess the gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we also confirm that the mission of the church requires that we act and serve one another within the church and those within our community consistently with what we believe and confess. This is reflected in the list of values which are set forth below.

We Value

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the authority of God for us; instructing us in truth, righteousness and faith. We seek to both understand and apply its saving truth to our lives.

Worship
True worship is relational in nature because it involves a continual exchange between us and God. We seek to grow in worship that goes beyond our corporate experience and desire for worship to become a way of life. We desire worship in spirit and truth that is expressive, passionate and personal.

Relationship
We believe that all things are rooted in relationship, including our relationship with God, one another and with friends, neighbors and strangers. We seek to treat each person with dignity, justice and grace.

Unity
We recognize that we are just a small part of the larger gathering of Jesus' church in our community and across the earth. It is our desire to walk in real unity with one another and with believers everywhere serving Christ's cause.

Authenticity
It is essential that we are honest in our many relationships in the faith. The expression of our faith needs to be consistent with the gospel we preach. Our personal experience with God is expressed by the life we live. In other words, 'you can't preach the good news if you are the bad news!'

Integrity
We want to operate corporately and individually in a way that is open, transparent and accountable. Whether in our finances as a church, or in our relationships with each other, we want to be growing and maturing, integrating Godly principles in such a way as to bring honor to Him.

Compassion
We have been recipients of God's great love and mercy and therefore we seek to act with compassion towards everyone, giving away what was freely given to us. We work to develop attitudes of humble service to one another inside and outside of the church.

Service
We give and serve out of the abundance of that which we have received. As followers of Christ it is our desire to follow his example as a servant in relationship to one another, with the purpose of extending the kingdom of God through giving, serving, praying for and loving one another, and to do so in the strength of the Lord and the power the Holy Spirit.

These values provide a focus for our service to each other and the surrounding world, and result in certain kinds of ministry considerations which can best be summarized as:

With that as our guiding principle, we therefore strive to:

Provide a place where those who are searching can experience and embrace the love of Jesus Christ.

Provide a place where imperfect people can feel perfectly welcome.

We know that God loves people right where they are, but He also loves them enough to not leave them there.

Provide worship and teaching that is genuine, passionate and practical, where people can experience the transforming power of the gospel.
